Four steps
Find a duck
Somebody left it on a bumper, a trailhead, a shopping cart. It has a tag with a code on it, and usually a QR square you can scan.
Enter the code
Type it into the box at the top of this page. You will see the duck's name, who put it out, and every place it has been so far.
Log where you found it
Add the ZIP code where you picked it up. That becomes the newest stop on the duck's map, and the owner sees it right away.
Keep it moving
Hide the duck somewhere new and log that too. Some ducks have crossed a dozen states this way, passed along by strangers.

People leave rubber ducks on each other's vehicles. It is a small, dumb, entirely good tradition. The problem is that once you hand a duck off, you never find out where it went.
This site is the part that was missing. Give a duck a code, put the code on its tag, and every person who finds it can add the next dot on the map. A duck that has crossed four states with six different people is a much better story than a duck in a glovebox.
It is free, it is run by fans, and there is nothing to buy.
